Ethical Issues in Self-funded Social Care: Co-producing knowledge with older people was the three-year research project funded by the Wellcome Trust. We examined how older people experience the process of finding and paying for personal care from their own resources in three local authority areas in England. We also spoke to unpaid family members who were supporting older self-funders, care workers and providers, social care practitioners and professionals. It was a participatory research project and generated lots of in-depth, rich data about their experiences. Here you can read or download the full research report and findings.
